Bangalore to Witness First-ever Smart Enterprise Exchange Event in India

Some of the most renowned industry leaders and CIOs from leading organizations in Bangalore will come together for an exclusive peer-to-peer gathering focused on the power of Lean IT to transform business

NC News Network, July 2 2009, 1100 hrs

The first Smart Enterprise Executive Exchange event in India, titled The Power of Lean IT: Leveraging Technology for Better Business Benefits, is scheduled to be held in Bangalore on July 3, 2009 and will demonstrate to IT leaders how to employ IT to reduce waste, increase productivity and leverage technology innovation to achieve greater enterprise value for both internal and external customers.

In this Smart Enterprise Executive Exchange, IT executives and subject-matter experts will discuss with attendees how the IT department, by working in tandem with the business team, can continue to prove its value to demanding customers, both internally and externally.

The event will have some eminent personalities such as the inimitable Professor S Sadagopan, Founder Director of the International Institute of Information Technology in Bangalore, who will deliver the keynote. The event will also have a presentation by Peter Waterhouse, an experienced IT and business strategist who is currently a Strategy Advisor for CA in Australia.

The Bangalore Smart Enterprise Exchange event will also feature a case study presentation by a CIO of a leading Indian organization and a panel discussion among CIOs, deliberating on best practices in leveraging technology for maximum business benefit. The panel discussion will be moderated by Val Souza, Editorial Director, United Business Media (India). Panelists include V Balakrishnan, CIO, Polaris Software and N Nataraj, CIO, Hexaware Limited.

In view of the challenging economic environment that CIOs have to contend with, this event intends to equip IT heads with all the knowledge they need to establish a leaner IT setup via the route of improved efficiency at a lower cost.

CIOs today are called upon to achieve more with less, while simultaneously leveraging IT efficiencies to refocus the business on practical and achievable innovation—the event’s expert speakers will show CIOs exactly how to do this.

Topics of discussion include:

  • Establishing a leaner IT via improved efficiency and cost reductions
  • Leveraging IT efficiencies to refocus the business on practical and achievable innovation
  • Improving IT staff productivity through automation and better tool integration
  • Ensuring performance objectives in a high-speed, global environment
  • Building the right leadership network for ensuring IT’s value
  • Communicating a top-down approach for driving innovation throughout the enterprise
  • Optimizing the correlation between IT spend and business productivity

CIOs and IT heads will also have the opportunity to share their own opinions on the subject and directly benefit from the knowledge and experience of the many senior professionals expected to be part of this event.
