Secure Computing, an enterprise gateway security company, has announced its Singapore office as its new Asia Pacific headquarters to support growing customer demand across the region. This office would enhance the company's network, messaging and web gateway security solutions as well as its identity and access management products. Singapore, previously its South Asia headquarters, will serve customers and partners throughout the region including Australia and New Zealand, South-east Asia, China, India and all of the territories in between.
Secure Computing set up its Singapore office in 2004. With solid organic growth from all of Asia Pacific and Japan, as well as a significant increase in revenue and headcount from its acquisition of companies like CyberGuard and CipherTrust, expanded centralized management became a priority. The announcement of the new regional headquarters represents a new level of commitment to Asia Pacific, with centralized regional sales, technical and logistics support to operate out of the centrally located Singapore office.
A 2007 Frost & Sullivan report reveals that the Asia Pacific network security solutions market, worth approximately $1.28 billion in 2006, is forecasted to grow at a CAGR (compound annual growth rate) of 9.3 percent (2006-2013) to reach a market size of $2.38 billion by end of 2013. The robust growth is fueled by sustained economic growth in emerging nations resulting in greater demand for security solutions for infrastructure upgrades and by enterprises and government.
Secure Computing has recently strengthened its marketing and corporate infrastructure, and invested more resources in its Asia Pacific headquarters to tap into the burgeoning network security market. The company recently completed the re-branding of its comprehensive range of products by bringing all its products under the "Secure" brand. In addition, it established a new inside sales team to drive revenue growth and added new training rooms to cope with the increased demand for support by its regional channel partners. Going forward, the company will further enhance its infrastructure by adding facilities for product demonstrations and testing, as well as strengthening its capacity to provide technical support for customers across the Asia Pacific.
"Since 2004, our business in Singapore and the region has expanded beyond our initial expectations," said Robert Prigge, Vice-President, Asia Pacific and Japan, Secure Computing. "The country offers excellent infrastructure, transparent regulatory regime, pro-business environment and a world-class legal framework. As an international business hub, Singapore is an ideal base for us to expand our business across the Asia Pacific."
