Datacraft Appoints AdaptiveMobile as its Partner

NWC News Network, Sept. 4 2008, 1800 hrs

Datacraft, a solution provider, has appointed network security provider, AdaptiveMobile as its primary partner in Asia Pacific in order to sell, deploy and support its portfolio of mobile security solutions across 13 countries in the region, including India, Japan and Korea.

AdaptiveMobile enables mobile operators, including Etisalat and STC, to protect their customers by safeguarding their services and infrastructure. Its policy control framework provides protection against illegal and inappropriate content, mobile viruses and malware, and unsolicited or unauthorised communications. It works across all mobile services (WAP, SMS, MMS, email), all forms of access (Mobile, WiFi, WiMax) and for all media including mobile internet, text, images, music, voice and video.

Datacraft Asia, which is a subsidiary of the Dimension Data group, will integrate the AdaptiveMobile Policy Control Framework into its Secure Mobility Framework Solution. It will assign dedicated sales and resources teams to sell and deploy the complete range of AdaptiveMobile solutions and provide training to staff at its Global Services Centre in Bangalore, India, for post-sales support.

“An increasing number of our mobile-operator clients are concerned with the security of their networks as the problem of mobile malware and spam worsens,” said Andy Cocks, Director, Solutions Development Group and Alliance at Datacraft. “To combat this growing problem, we decided to integrate AdaptiveMobile’s solutions to provide a comprehensive solution to our customers, which automatically adapts to the ever-changing threat environment. The security provider’s approach and proven track record with a number of operators in the region makes it the perfect fit for our Secure Mobility Framework and builds the foundations for value add services across all mobile applications”

Lorcan Burke, CEO of AdaptiveMobile, added, “The Datacraft partnership agreement will further enable us to extend our reach and receive the support of one of the most experienced and reputable IT solutions providers in Asia.”

In January 2008, Datacraft had acquired Security-Assessment.com to provide protection to its clients’ networks and IT environments across the Asia Pacific region.
