SecureSynergy and Alladin join hands to launch security services

By NWC News Network , June 12 2007, 1500 hrs

SecureSynergy, a leader in Information Assurance services in India and Aladdin Knowledge Systems Ltd, a leader in Software DRM, strong authentication and content security solutions have tied up to offer ‘Secure Surfing’ and ‘Secure Mailing’ services to the enterprise and SME sector across India. The offering will give customers a centralized, value-added security service that inspects and filters Web traffic as well as Email traffic before it reaches the organization or the web surfer.

According to Ajit Pathak, Country Manager, Sales Operation, SecureSynergy, clients would be spared the expense of investing in hardware, personnel, management and maintenance in house to secure their messaging and Internet access environments from threats such as spam mails, spy-ware and phishing attacks.  Enterprise customers would benefit from reduced bandwidth and device management costs, improved security and higher employee productivity.

Explaining the value proposition for SMEs, Shailendra Sahasrabudhe, Country Manager, Aladdin Knowledge Systems said that SMEs often lack skills and money to choose and manage the right equipment that aren’t exactly cheap. They are also unable to get and retain trained manpower to manage and maintain this equipment. “With Secure Surfing and Secure Mailing offering, subscribers can start the service in a day's time and avail maximum benefits with high levels of security, without facing any challenges,” he claimed. Pathak added that all that the customer needs to do is point his Internet or messaging proxy servers to Secure Synergy’s Network Operations Centre (NOC).

Secure Synergy brings to the alliance its competency in managed security services while Aladdin brings its eSafe technology platform. SecureSynergy will be offering two services - Assure and Stream - built around Aladdin’s platform through an annual fee based subscription model. The services will be sold through Secure Synergy Partners registered under its Reach Partner Program.
